How long it takes, by shipping option
These are planning ranges from two third-party guides, Refundy (a cashback company) and SendFromChina (a China fulfilment company). They aren’t AliExpress figures. For what each option is, see shipping methods explained.

The two guides agree on the shape: local stock and Choice are the fastest, standard sits in the middle and economy is slowest.
How long it takes, by country
Refundy’s 2026 planning ranges for standard and premium shipping. Treat them as guides, since customs and local carriers vary.

What real orders looked like
- A small independent sample. SecretAli, a deals site, reports tracking 47 Choice orders from February to April 2026 to addresses in the US, UK, France and Germany. It found medians of about 5 to 6 days to the US, 7 to the UK and 6 to France and Germany, with 90th percentiles of 9 to 12 days, and about 80% of orders inside 5 to 10 days. It reports a median of 22 days for standard orders over the same period, without saying how many. This is one writer’s small sample, not a study.
- One buyer’s experience. A Reddit user says their packages arrive on average about 17 days after ordering, sometimes 14 and sometimes 21. One person’s experience, seen in a search summary.
The clock starts later than you think
Refundy explains that delivery has two clocks stacked together, and most “late” complaints come from mixing them up.
- Handling time. The seller packs the item and hands it to the carrier. SendFromChina says this can take 2 to 7 days, or up to 10. Nothing moves during this time.
- Transit time. Export, flight or ship, customs and local delivery. This is what the estimate on the listing describes.
Refundy suggests counting from the day tracking shows the carrier accepted the parcel, not the day you paid. Read the handling time on the listing before you compare carriers.
What slows an order down
- Seller handling. A seller quoting 7 days of handling adds a week that no shipping upgrade recovers.
- Customs. Refundy says a parcel can sit at import clearance for 5 to 10 days without being lost. Incomplete declarations can turn a short hold into a long one.
- Sale peaks. Refundy says events such as 11.11 and Black Friday routinely add 5 to 15 days.
- Lunar New Year. Refundy says factories and logistics providers in China close for roughly 2 to 4 weeks around it, with a further 1 to 2 weeks of backlog. Check the date for the year.
- Address problems. A missing apartment number or mismatched postcode is a common cause of a parcel that shows delivered but isn’t received, per Refundy.

A quiet tracking page isn’t proof a parcel is lost, but don’t leave a dispute to the last day. The guaranteed delivery window on your order page is your real deadline.
Planning a deadline: gifts, events and trips
- Add a buffer. Our reading: take the later end of the range for your option and add a week or two if the date matters.
- Avoid peaks. Order before 11.11 or Black Friday, or before lunar new year, not during it.
- Choose the option for the date. For a hard deadline, pick a listing that ships from your country, a Choice item or a courier option, and check its delivery date.
- Don’t split an urgent order. Refundy says your delivery date becomes the slowest parcel, and each clears customs separately.
How to get it faster
- Filter for “Ships from” your country. Refundy calls this the biggest lever, and says it turns a 25-day order into a few days.
- Prefer Choice listings, and read what they cost. About Choice.
- Read the handling time, not just the shipping estimate.
- Pay for a courier option when the item is valuable or urgent. Is free shipping worth it?
- Check recent reviews for comments on dispatch speed.
