Nothing wastes a shopping session like a coupon that says "invalid" at the last step. The good news is that AliExpress publishes the rules, and once you know them, most failed codes are easy to fix. This guide turns those official rules into a simple routine: which coupon types exist, which ones combine, why codes fail, and what to check in the 60 seconds before you pay.

The order AliExpress applies your coupons
When a combination is allowed, AliExpress applies coupons in this order:
- Cross-Store Discount
- Store Coupon or Store Code
- Store Discount
- AliExpress Coupon or Promo Code
- Instant Discount
In practice that means pairing one seller-level offer (a store coupon or store code) with one AliExpress-level offer (a coupon or promo code) is the combination the rules are built around. Unless a coupon says otherwise, it may not combine with other offers, so the cart is the final judge.
Why your AliExpress coupon code doesn’t work
- Your ship-to country doesn't match. A coupon only works if the country in your delivery address at checkout matches the ship-to country you had when the coupon was issued to you.
- It's app-only, or tied to a promo page. Some coupons are limited to the AliExpress App or to designated promotional pages, so they won't apply on the regular website.
- The minimum spend isn't met. The minimum is measured on the listed price after other discounts. Shipping, taxes and import duties don't count towards it.
- Your region or shipping method is excluded. Coupons can be blocked for certain regions and shipping methods.
- It expired, or the supply ran out. Coupons have validity periods, and many promotions are limited in number and given out first come, first served.
- The item isn't eligible. Unless a coupon says otherwise, special promotional items, digital goods and value-added services like warranties are excluded.
- You've already used it. Unless stated otherwise, each coupon can be used once per buyer.
- You tried to stack two of the same type. Only one AliExpress Coupon or Promo Code, and one Store Coupon or Store Code, can be used per order.
The 60-second checkout routine
- Set your ship-to country first. Do this before you collect any coupons, because coupons are tied to the country you had when they were issued.
- Open "My Coupons" and read the conditions on each one: minimum spend, validity and where it can be used.
- On the product or store page, claim any store coupon or note any store code the seller offers.
- At checkout, apply one AliExpress Coupon or Promo Code. Look for an Instant Discount if you are paying with a designated payment method.
- Compare the total with and without the discount. The checkout total is the only number that matters.
- Pay only when the discount shows. If it has vanished, re-read the coupon's conditions against the list above.
What about coins?
AliExpress coins sit alongside coupons rather than inside the official coupon terms. Guides report that you earn them through daily check-ins, games and tasks, and that support depends on the item, so look for a coin discount on the listing before you count on one. Refundy reports that coins can be used on top of a seller or AliExpress coupon.
Where working codes actually come from
Real codes live in a few places: the coupon and promo pages inside the AliExpress app and website, sale-event pages, and individual seller stores, which issue their own store coupons and store codes. Some sellers even display tiered store codes on their product images. Those codes belong to that seller and follow their own limits.
We don't publish lists of codes we can't confirm. Codes depend on your account, ship-to country and the current promotion, so a copied list mostly gives you failed checkouts. Use the routine above and you will find the codes that are valid for you.
What to skip
- Code lists that mix live and dead codes. If a page can't tell you which is which, it can't tell you what will work for your account and country.
- Pages that ask for personal details to "unlock" a code. A genuine coupon never needs more than your normal AliExpress login.
- Bots, scripts and multiple-account tricks. AliExpress's terms allow it to cancel coupons, block you from promotions and close related accounts if it suspects automated or abusive activity.
- Anyone selling or trading coupons. Coupons have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold or exchanged.
