Ugreen GaN Chargers on AliExpress: What to Buy and Check

UGreen Gan Charger
The short answer: Ugreen is a real charger brand, but chargers are a category where fakes are a known problem, so on AliExpress the store matters more than the model. Pick the wattage for your device first: about 30W covers phones and a 13-inch MacBook Air, 67W to 70W suits a MacBook Air, and 96W to 140W suits a MacBook Pro. In the AliExpress data we used, the Ugreen listings with solid review evidence are a 30W mini charger and two desktop chargers, with 57 to 831 reviews each. The 140W and 300W listings we found have almost none. If you can’t tie a listing to a store you trust, buy from Ugreen or an authorised retailer instead.

Pick the wattage for your device first

A GaN (gallium nitride) charger is a smaller, cooler-running charger. Its wattage is the maximum power it can supply. Your device only takes what it needs, so a charger with more watts than you need is fine, and one with fewer charges slowly or not at all. Apple publishes which adapters it recommends for each MacBook.

What else matters on a multi-port charger

  • Total versus per-port power. A 100W or 140W multi-port charger usually shares its power when several ports are in use. Ugreen’s own page for its 100W 4-port charger lists the total (100W) but doesn’t give per-port output, so ask before you count on full power to a laptop while charging a phone too.
  • Protocols. Ugreen’s 100W 4-port charger lists PD 3.0, PPS and QC 4+. PD and PPS are the ones that matter for laptops and recent phones.
  • The cable. Ugreen’s own listing notes it tested 100W charging with a 100W 5A cable. High-wattage charging needs a cable rated for it.
  • Warranty. Ugreen’s US page lists a 2-year warranty on that charger. Check what warranty a marketplace listing offers.
  • Plug and voltage. Listings state a plug type (EU, UK or US). Make sure it fits your socket, and check the input voltage range.

Is it genuine? The question that matters most for chargers

A charger sits between your wall and your laptop, so a fake is a safety problem, not just a disappointment. UL Solutions tested 400 counterfeit Apple adapters and reported a 99% failure rate, and ULSE advises buying replacement chargers from the manufacturer and checking they are certified by a third-party testing company. Ugreen isn’t Apple, but the same risk applies to any popular charger brand. How to tell fake from real.

  • Ugreen’s own “where to buy” page doesn’t list AliExpress among its official retail partners, in what we could read. That doesn’t prove an AliExpress store is fake, and buyers say an official Ugreen store exists. It does mean you can’t confirm a store from Ugreen’s site alone, so check the Official Store badge on AliExpress and the store’s record. How to check a seller.
  • A safety mark in a photo isn’t proof. ULSE warns counterfeits may display unauthorised safety markings.
  • Match the model number. Compare the listing’s model and specs with the product on Ugreen’s own site, and be suspicious of a listing with no model number.
  • Watch the price. A price far below Ugreen’s own price is a warning sign. Product red flags.

Evidence on how Ugreen chargers perform is mixed and thin. The Nexode Pro 100W set is rated 4.7 from 27 reviews at Best Buy, and one user in r/UsbCHardware called a Nexode Pro 100W charger an overheating one. That is a single complaint, so weigh it lightly. Tom’s Hardware’s 2026 test of 20 wall chargers didn’t include Ugreen, so we found no recent independent lab test of these models. We haven’t tested them either.

Ugreen listings with the best review evidence

The three Ugreen listings with the best review evidence

These are the strongest-evidenced Ugreen listings we could verify as available. All three have a US plug in the title or listing. If you are in the UK or EU, look for the matching plug variant before you buy.

UGREEN 30W GaN mini charger (US plug) listed on AliExpress

Price when checked: $18.71 · Rating 4.9 from 831 reviews in AliExpress’s data

Best for

Phones, tablets and a 13-inch MacBook Air, for buyers in the US.

Why it is here

It is the best-evidenced Ugreen listing we could verify, rated 4.9 from 831 reviews in AliExpress’s data. The listing gives PD 3.0 at 30W, and Apple lists a 30W adapter for the 13-inch MacBook Air, so it covers that laptop.

Watch-outs

A single-port 30W charger charges a MacBook Air more slowly than a 67W or 70W one. Reviews may be pooled across sellers and variants, and we couldn’t verify which store sells it, so confirm the store before you pay. We haven’t tested it.

UGREEN 200W/100W/65W GaN desktop charger (US plug) listed on AliExpress

Price when checked: $43.22 · Rating 4.8 from 140 reviews in AliExpress’s data

Best for

A desk that charges a laptop plus a phone and accessories from one plug. Pick 65W for a MacBook Air, or a higher variant for a MacBook Pro or several laptops.

Why it is here

It is rated 4.8 from 140 reviews in AliExpress’s data, has a US plug, and offers three wattage variants. Apple lists 96W and 140W adapters for the 14-inch MacBook Pro and 140W for the 16-inch, so match the variant to your laptop.

Watch-outs

The variants differ in ports and price, so read what each includes. Power is usually shared when several ports are in use, and high-wattage charging needs a cable rated for it. Reviews may be pooled, we couldn’t verify the store, and we haven’t tested it.

Best for

A desk that needs several ports plus up to 65W for a laptop such as a MacBook Air.

Why it is here

It is rated 5.0 from 57 reviews in AliExpress’s data, and 65W is close to the 67W adapter Apple lists for the MacBook Air.

Watch-outs

Fewer reviews than the other two, so the 5.0 rating is less certain. Check the plug type and port layout. Reviews may be pooled, we couldn’t verify the store, and we haven’t tested it.

High-wattage listings to verify before you buy

140W and 300W Ugreen listings

These listings match the wattage a MacBook Pro or a multi-laptop desk needs, but the review evidence is minimal. Treat them as listings to verify, not confident picks.

UGREEN 140W 3-port foldable GaN charger (TLF listing) listed on AliExpress

Price when checked: $93.97 · No rating yet, 1 review in AliExpress’s data

Best for

A 16-inch MacBook Pro or another laptop that needs about 100W or more, while charging a phone too.

Why it is here

Apple lists a 140W adapter for the 16-inch MacBook Pro and for fast charging the 14-inch model, and this is a 140W, 3-port foldable charger.

Watch-outs

Very little evidence: the feed shows one review and no rating. We can’t verify the store or that it is a genuine Ugreen product, and the price is well above the smaller Ugreen chargers. Full 140W charging needs a cable rated for it. Verify the model number against Ugreen’s own site, or buy from Ugreen or an authorised retailer if you can’t confirm the store.

UGREEN 300W 5-port GaN desktop charging station listed on AliExpress

Price when checked: $142.14 · Rating 5.0 from 3 reviews in AliExpress’s data

Best for

A desk that charges several laptops and phones from one plug.

Why it is here

It is a 5-port, 300W desktop station, and Ugreen’s own range includes high-wattage desktop chargers.

Watch-outs

Only three reviews in the feed, so the 5.0 rating tells you little. Per-port output is limited when several ports are in use, and we couldn’t verify the store. Check the model number and the per-port limits before you buy.

AliExpress or Ugreen and other retailers?

For a small, well-reviewed charger the price gap can be large. For a high-wattage charger, don’t assume AliExpress is cheaper. The 140W listing above costs about $94 before shipping and import charges, and another 140W listing in our feed was $111. Ugreen’s US site lists its 100W 4-port wall charger at $42.99 on sale, and Tom’s Hardware’s deals page listed the Ugreen Nexode 65W at $23.99 on Amazon. These are different models, so compare by model number, but they show why to price-check first.

Who should skip AliExpress for this

  • You need a US plug and a warranty you can claim locally.
  • You can’t verify the store, or the price is far below Ugreen’s own.
  • It’s a high-wattage charger for an expensive laptop, where a bad charger risks more than the price saved.

Where to go next

Frequently asked questions

Is Ugreen a real brand?

Yes. Ugreen has its own US and global sites and sells through major retailers. The concern is whether a particular AliExpress listing is a genuine Ugreen product from a trustworthy store.

Does Ugreen sell on AliExpress?

Buyers say there is an official Ugreen store on AliExpress, but Ugreen’s own “where to buy” page doesn’t list AliExpress in what we could read. Check the Official Store badge and the store’s record on AliExpress before you buy.

What wattage do I need for a MacBook Air?

Apple lists 30W, 35W dual-port, 67W and 70W adapters for the 2022 and later 13-inch MacBook Air, with the 30W adapter for the 13-inch model only. A 67W to 70W charger charges faster.

Can a 30W Ugreen charger charge a MacBook Air?

Apple lists a 30W adapter for the 13-inch MacBook Air, so a PD charger at 30W should charge it, more slowly than a 67W or 70W one. Check the listing says PD support.

Can I use a charger with a US plug in the UK or EU?

Only if you use a plug adapter, and you should check the charger’s input voltage range on the listing. Look for the UK or EU plug variant instead.

The bottom line

Choose the wattage your device needs, then treat the store as the deciding factor. The small Ugreen chargers have the strongest evidence on AliExpress. For 100W and above, verify the model and store, price-check against Ugreen’s own price and consider buying direct. A charger isn’t the place to save a few dollars on a doubtful listing.
