How to Stack Coupons on AliExpress

AliExpress doesn’t limit you to one discount per order. You can combine a platform coupon, a seller coupon, and your coin balance in a single checkout. Do it right and 20-30% off a standard order is straightforward. During sale events, more.

Most buyers don’t do this. Either they don’t know it’s possible, or they know it’s possible but aren’t sure how. This is the step-by-step guide.

What You Can and Can’t Combine

Before the steps, the rules. AliExpress allows three discount types on a single order:

One platform coupon. Issued by AliExpress, found in the Coupon Centre. Applies across most sellers. Has a minimum spend threshold.

One seller coupon. Set by the individual seller. Found on the product listing page. Only applies to that seller’s items.

AliExpress Coins. Your accumulated loyalty balance. Applied at checkout via a toggle. Small saving, but it’s yours and it stacks.

During sale events, a fourth layer appears: promo codes. These are time-limited codes released on the event page, entered in a separate field at checkout.

What you can’t do: use two platform coupons on one order. Stack a platform coupon with a flash sale price on the same item (flash sale items usually exclude platform coupons). Or transfer coupons between accounts.

Everything else stacks. Here’s how.

Step 1: Get Your Platform Coupon Before You Shop

Go to AliExpress and search “Coupon Centre” in the search bar. You’ll land on a page showing available platform coupons you can collect for free. These have minimum spend requirements (typically $25-45) and expiry dates of a few days.

Collect a coupon that fits your expected order size before you start browsing. Don’t start adding things to your cart first. If you collect the coupon after shopping, it’ll still work, but collecting it first keeps you aware of the minimum spend threshold as you build your cart.

Your collected coupons are saved under “Me” then “Coupons” in your account.

Step 2: Find the Seller Coupon on the Product Page

Go to the listing for the item you want to buy. Near the top of the page, look for the seller’s store section. This is usually just above the product description, below the main product images.

Look for a “Get coupon” button or a coupon offer showing “$X off orders over $Y.” Tap or click it to collect the seller coupon.

Do this before adding the item to your cart. Some seller coupons only apply if they’ve been claimed before the item is in your cart. Collecting afterward doesn’t always work.

If you’re buying from multiple sellers, repeat this on each product page.

Step 3: Add Items to Cart and Check Your Total

Add your items normally. Go to your cart and check the total before proceeding.

Two things to verify:

Your cart total meets the minimum spend on your platform coupon. If the coupon requires $35 and your cart is $32, the coupon won’t apply. Either add something else or adjust what you’re buying.

Your cart total also meets any minimum spend on the seller coupon. These are usually lower than platform coupon minimums, but check both.

Step 4: Enable Coins at Checkout

Go to checkout. Near your order total, you’ll see a coins toggle or a line showing your available coin balance.

Tap or click to enable it. Coins apply as a small discount off the order total. The exact amount depends on your balance: roughly 10,000 coins equals $1.

If you don’t have enough coins to trigger the minimum redemption (usually 2,000-5,000 coins), the option won’t appear or won’t be active. Keep checking in daily in the app to build your balance.

Coins apply before the platform coupon in most configurations. Enable coins first.

Step 5: Apply Your Platform Coupon

On the checkout page, look for a “Coupons” section. Tap or click it to see your available coupons. Select the platform coupon you collected.

The order total should drop by the coupon value. If it doesn’t:

  • Your cart total may have dropped below the minimum spend after coins were applied. Check whether you still meet the threshold.
  • One of the items in your cart may be in an excluded category (flash sale items, digital goods).
  • The coupon may have expired. Check the date in your account.

If the platform coupon applies, confirm the updated total.

Step 6: Enter a Promo Code (During Sale Events)

If there’s an active AliExpress sale event (11.11, Anniversary Sale, Black Friday), check the event page in the app for any promo codes. These are short-lived codes that appear during the event.

If you have a code, look for a promo code input field on the checkout page. Enter the code. The discount applies on top of everything already deducted.

Outside sale events, this field may not appear or may show no active codes. That’s normal.

Step 7: Confirm Everything Before Paying

Before tapping Pay, check the order summary:

  • Platform coupon: applied and showing the correct deduction
  • Seller coupon: applied (usually shows as a separate line)
  • Coins: enabled and deducted
  • Promo code: entered if available
  • Shipping: free or as expected

If something’s missing, go back and check the relevant step. The most common issues are a cart total that fell below a minimum spend threshold after discounts, or a seller coupon that wasn’t collected before adding to cart.

Once everything looks right, pay.

What Stacking Looks Like in Practice

Portable Bluetooth speaker, listed at $35.

Discount LayerSavingRunning Total
Listed price$35.00
Seller coupon: $3 off over $25$3.00$32.00
Platform coupon: $5 off over $30$5.00$27.00
Coins: 6,000 redeemed$0.60$26.40
Free shipping$2.50$23.90

$35 item for $23.90. About 32% off without a sale event, without any special timing, just the three-layer stack applied in order.

During 11.11 or the Anniversary Sale, the platform coupon would be larger (potentially $10-15 off instead of $5) and a promo code might add another $2-3. The same item could land at $18-20.

The Most Common Stacking Mistakes

Collecting the seller coupon after adding to cart. Some seller coupons only activate if claimed before the item is in your cart. Collect first, add after.

Not checking the minimum spend after discounts. Your platform coupon requires a minimum based on listed prices. If coins reduce your total below the threshold, the coupon may not apply. Check the threshold in the coupon details.

Forgetting to enable coins. The coin redemption toggle is opt-in. It does not apply automatically. One tap at checkout.

Trying to stack two platform coupons. Not possible. One per order. If you have two platform coupons and want to use both, they need to go on separate orders.

Assuming flash sale items accept platform coupons. They usually don’t. If something is on a flash deal, the platform coupon field may not apply to it. Check before building your cart around a coupon minimum.

FAQ

Can I use a coupon on any AliExpress product? Most products, not all. Platform coupons exclude digital goods and items on flash sale. Seller coupons only apply to that seller’s listings. If a coupon isn’t applying at checkout, an excluded item in your cart is usually the reason.

What if my seller coupon doesn’t show up at checkout? Either it wasn’t collected before adding to cart (some seller coupons require this), or it’s expired, or the cart total doesn’t meet the minimum. Go back to the seller’s store page, check the coupon terms, and re-collect if it’s still available.

Do stacked discounts affect my buyer protection? No. AliExpress buyer protection covers what you actually paid. If something goes wrong, your refund is based on the discounted price you paid, not the listed price.

Can I stack coupons on AliExpress Choice products? Yes. Platform coupons, seller coupons, and coins all work on Choice-badged products. Choice Day events may have specific coupons for the Choice catalogue. Check the coupon terms for any restrictions.

How do I find seller coupons I’ve already collected? Go to “Me” then “Coupons” in your AliExpress account. Both platform and seller coupons you’ve collected appear there with their expiry dates and minimum spend requirements.

Is there a limit to how much I can save by stacking? Practically, yes. The maximum saving is capped by what coupons are available, what your coin balance is, and whether a promo code is live during an event. Outside events, 20-30% off with full stacking is realistic for most orders. During 11.11, 40-50% is achievable on well-chosen purchases.

Takeaway

Collect your platform coupon from the Coupon Centre before shopping. Grab the seller coupon on the product page before adding to cart. At checkout, enable coins, then apply the platform coupon, then enter a promo code if one’s available.

Three to four minutes. Done consistently, it saves real money on every order.
